The Chapter's "HO" & "O" Scale Modular
Layouts are set up in
Shoppingtown Mall. We are located in the Sears wing next door
to the Sears main entrance.

CNYNRHS
also has an "HO" scale layout set up.
This layout was one of the first module HO layouts built in the Central New York
area.
It is currently undergoing major improvements and
updating.

CNYNRHS thanks the management of the Shoppingtown Mall
for the use of their store front
to showcase the best of model railroading
and
Central New York railroading history to the public.

Operating Modular Layout

The
World's Only Operating Train-Trailer
Starting in Fall of 2005 work began converting an old trailer
into a permanent model train layout for operating in parades, and various shows.
The operating trains run flawlessly while trailer is being pulled at up to
10mph!
On-board
control panel features:
Lionel 1033 style Selector lever
toggles between 120 volt current, battery
current or battery charge.
Custom built multi-use gauge display's track voltage, battery output and charging
indicator.
Individual track on/off selector buttons and indicator lights using ZW style jewel
caps.
State-of-the-art circuit breaker protection for each of the 4 loops of track .
These images were taken in 2006
during the construction phase.
